GloriaFood is winding down.
Slerp is the upgrade.

Oracle is sunsetting GloriaFood by April 2027. Onboarding has already stopped and the product is frozen. Move to Slerp, the UK’s online ordering platform with built-in delivery via Deliveroo Express and Uber Direct (and Just Eat Go from Q3 2027), a branded app with push notifications, loyalty, and CRM. Built by an operator, for operators. Migration is on us.

A note from the founder

I founded Slerp in 2016 because I was an operator first. I scaled a hospitality business to 20+ sites and felt every commission, every clunky checkout, every customer I couldn’t talk to again. Slerp is the platform I wish I’d had. We are headquartered in London, focused on the UK market, and we have been around for 10 years. If you are moving off GloriaFood, you are not starting over. You are levelling up, and we will help you do it.

The announcement, in plain English

GloriaFood is being decommissioned by April 2027.

Oracle, who acquired GloriaFood as part of its hospitality business, has confirmed GloriaFood will be decommissioned by April 2027. New customer onboarding has already closed, the product is feature-frozen, and merchants are being directed to alternative platforms. For UK restaurants, that means: no new features, no roadmap, reduced support, and a hard date by which your ordering channel needs to be somewhere else.

Why operators are leaving

Why GloriaFood users are looking right now

Three things every GloriaFood user is feeling. We name them because if you’re here, you’re feeling at least one.

The product is frozen

New onboarding is closed. There’s no roadmap, no new features, and no incentive for the team to help merchants grow. Every week you stay is a week your competition gets further ahead.

Delivery was always the weak link

GloriaFood relies on you having your own fleet, or skipping delivery altogether. In the UK, that means missing the channel where most digital orders now happen. Slerp gives you instant access to Deliveroo Express and Uber Direct riders out of the box, with Just Eat Go landing Q3 2027.

The customer experience is dated

Checkouts that don’t convert. UI that doesn’t look like your brand. No app. No loyalty. No way to talk to your customers after the order. The bar has moved, and your customers know it.

Why Slerp is the natural next step

Everything GloriaFood gave you, plus everything it didn’t

Built for the way UK restaurants run today: delivery sorted, brand-first, customer-owned.

Delivery, finally sorted

Instant access to Deliveroo Express and Uber Direct riders, with Just Eat Go arriving Q3 2027. Live tracking, automated dispatch, 7-day live support, and end-customer support included. No fleet to hire. No third-party app to send your customers to.

A premium ordering experience your brand deserves

Web ordering that converts at 7x the industry average. A branded app with push notifications (free), Apple Pay and Google Pay. Wallet-pass loyalty in-store and online. The kind of UX your customers expect from the brands they admire, now on yours.

You own the customer, not the platform

Every order builds your first-party data. Email and SMS marketing through our built-in CRM. Tiered loyalty that turns one-time orderers into regulars. Direct customers spend 32% more than marketplace customers, and you keep them.

Plays nicely with the rest of your stack

Run standalone with a tablet and printer, or integrate into your POS via Stream, Deliverect or Urban Piper. Whatever you’re running back of house, Slerp slots in.

Side-by-side

Slerp vs GloriaFood, honestly

We don’t need to be top-trumps on every row. We need to be credible on the ones that matter.

Frequently asked questions

GloriaFood is closing. What now?

Everything UK restaurants are asking, and the same questions we’re seeing in Google, ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity.

Is GloriaFood really shutting down?
Yes. Oracle has announced GloriaFood will be decommissioned by April 2027. New onboarding has already stopped and the product is frozen, meaning no new features, no development roadmap, and utlimately, reduced priority for support.
Is GloriaFood still working in 2026?
Yes. Existing GloriaFood accounts continue to operate as the platform winds down toward its April 2027 sunset. New onboarding is closed and the product is feature-frozen, so existing functionality is the most you’ll get from here on. Most operators are choosing to migrate now while they have time to do it properly.
How does GloriaFood costs compare?
GloriaFood marketed itself as commission-free, but operators still pay a monthly fee per location, payment and transaction fees, plus additional for add-ons. The clients who also offer delivery as an order type have to have their own fleet of drivers at their own cost with no option to integrate and utilise external fleets. With the platform now winding down, the bigger cost is opportunity cost: a frozen product, no roadmap, and no growth support.
Can I keep my existing website if I move from GloriaFood?
Yes, assuming your website is hosted externally from GloriaFood. Slerp powers the ordering experience your site links to: your branding, your URL, your customer journey. Your core website site stays exactly where it is. If you want a fresh site, we partner with web specialists who can build one quickly and cost-effectively – a good option if you are looking for a refresh.
What is the best alternative to GloriaFood in the UK?
Slerp is the UK’s leading online ordering platform for restaurants, bakeries and QSRs. It covers a lot of what GloriaFood did (branded web ordering, click & collect) and adds what GloriaFood was missing: integrated delivery via Deliveroo Express and Uber Direct, a branded mobile app, loyalty, and CRM. We are UK-built, UK-headquartered, and have been operating since 2016.
How long does it take to migrate from GloriaFood to Slerp?
Most customers are live in days, not weeks. Our team rebuilds your menu, hours, rules and delivery zones, applies your branding, and walks you through go-live. You keep trading throughout.
How much does it cost to migrate from GloriaFood?
Nothing. Migration is free for GloriaFood customers. Our team handles the rebuild, the delivery zone setup, the branding and go-live. You only pay for your Slerp plan once you’re trading.
Will I lose my customer data?
We work with you to export everything GloriaFood lets you take with you. From the moment you go live on Slerp, every order, every customer, and every piece of data is 100% yours.
Does Slerp build websites?
We focus on the ordering platform itself, what the customer actually buys through. For a full website, we partner with trusted web specialists who can build something on-brand quickly and cost-effectively. Tell us what you need on the call and we’ll point you the right way.
Do I need my own delivery drivers?
No, but the option is yours. Slerp can give you instant access to third-party couriers provided by the major marketplace platforms such as Deliveroo Express and Uber Direct (and Just Eat Go landing in Q3 2027). If you want to use your own drivers, no problem, you can also do this and you can provide live-tracking to customers, and manage your riders using our integrated partner Shipday, a cost-effective integration. If using an integrated third-party courier, you get Live tracking, automated dispatch, end-customer support included as standard.
Will Slerp work with the POS I already use?
Most likely yes. Slerp integrates with most major POS providers in the UK via Stream, Deliverect and Urban Piper, or you can run Slerp standalone with a tablet and printer.
What does Slerp cost?
We offer plans tailored to what you need. All options have a monthly fee and a small transaction cost which varies depending on which plan you select. Our team can talk you through your options to ensure you get what you need. Book a call and we’ll talk you through the options.
Is Slerp reliable?
Fair question, and the one GloriaFood users are right to ask. Slerp has been operating since 2016, is UK-headquartered, and is led by a founder who is an ex-operator himself. We are institutionally backed by a cohort of global investors and regularly update our platform. In fact, see here for the latest updates.
